SAP implementation, migration and support

Inovsion plans, implements and supports SAP for organisations across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and India — and stays on after go-live, which is usually where the difficult part actually starts.

SAP is a serious commitment. It touches finance, procurement, inventory, production and reporting at once, and the cost of a poor rollout is measured in months of disrupted operations rather than licence fees. Our approach is deliberately unglamorous: understand the processes you actually run today, map them honestly against standard SAP functionality, and be clear about where a configuration change is cheaper than a custom development — and where it is not.

In our experience most of the value comes from consolidating data rather than from any single module. When finance, sales and the warehouse read from the same records, the reporting arguments stop and decisions get faster. That is the outcome we design for, and it is the same principle behind our wider ERP software development work.

Not sure SAP is the right fit? We will say so. For some teams a lighter custom application or Microsoft Dynamics is a better match for the size of the problem. We would rather scope you correctly than sell you a platform you will fight for years.

What we do with SAP

Implementation, migration and the long tail of support afterwards.

Implementation and rollout

Process discovery, fit-gap analysis, configuration, data migration and cutover planning. We phase rollouts by site or business unit where that reduces risk, rather than attempting a single big-bang switch.

Migration and upgrades

Moving from legacy or older SAP estates: data cleansing, reconciliation and parallel-run validation. Migration is mostly a data quality exercise, and we budget it that way from the start.

Integration

Connecting SAP to the systems around it — e-commerce, CRM, logistics, payment gateways and reporting tools — so data flows without spreadsheets in the middle.

Compliance and tax

Regional requirements such as UAE VAT and Saudi e-invoicing. We have built an ERP-integrated ZATCA e-invoicing solution covering EGS onboarding and validation, and requirements are confirmed against ZATCA's published guidance per engagement.

Reporting and analytics

Turning SAP data into dashboards people actually open. Often paired with our data analytics and business intelligence work.

Post go-live support

Application support, enhancement requests, user training and month-end assistance. Our involvement does not end at handover — that is when new requirements surface.

How we deliver

Timelines depend heavily on scope, data quality and how many legacy systems are in play, so we scope each phase before quoting rather than quoting a standard package.

Step 1

Discovery

We sit with the people doing the work and document the processes as they genuinely run, including the workarounds.

Step 2

Fit-gap and design

Map processes to standard SAP. Everything that does not fit gets an explicit decision: change the process, configure, or build.

Step 3

Build and migrate

Configuration, integrations and iterative data migration runs, with reconciliation against your existing books at each pass.

Step 4

Cutover and support

User training, a hypercare period through the first month-end, then ongoing support at an agreed service level.

Benefits worth expecting

Vendors tend to promise a great deal here. Realistically, an integrated ERP delivers these gains when the underlying processes are tidied up as part of the rollout — the software alone will not do it:

  • Fewer manual re-entries, and fewer of the errors that come with them.
  • One version of stock, order and customer data across departments.
  • Faster response to customers because information is where staff can find it.
  • Better visibility across the supply chain for planning and purchasing.
  • Reporting that closes the month faster, rather than reconciling spreadsheets.

Why Inovsion

We are a software engineering team first, not a licence reseller. We build custom applications, CRM platforms and IoT systems, which means when SAP does not cover something we can build and integrate the missing piece properly instead of bending the platform into a shape it resists.

We work with clients across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and India, and we have delivered regional compliance work including an ERP-integrated ZATCA e-invoicing solution. Examples of our delivered work are on our portfolio page. If your programme is Saudi-based, our KSA practice covers the local requirements in more detail.
